It’s Friday!!!
Parent - - By spiritbear [us] Date 2019-01-11 6:19 AM
--The title for the RTTs today should be something to the effect of “there is no customer service left in this world”. :mutmad:

--Walmart is on my shit list today. Ordered some craft supplies for this activity board I am making. One of the items was not available at the Walmart closest to me so I scheduled the pickup at another Walmart. Got a immediate confirmation of my order telling me I’d get another one when my items were ready. This was late Wednesday evening. Early Thursday I get a confirmation that one of my items is available for pickup. Later that morning I get an email saying my other item is delayed but would be ready after 6 p.m. Well, I was at Walmart at 4:50 p.m. because that was my window of opportunity. Picked up a few other items I needed and got those. Not enough cashiers, as usual. Stopped by the pick up desk to get my item. Waited and waited and waited. One girl down at other end working customer service desk. Never acknowledges me. Another employee walks right by and ignores me. There is another employee standing in front of customer service. I finally ask if there is anyone working the pick up desk. Hatefully, the woman at customer service yells back at me that she is. She comes down and I explain that I have two items and one is due in soon and asked if she could check to see if it is already here. Well, I guess if you don’t have a barcode from the order that’s impossible to do. I’m like, can you just refund me the money because I don’t want to drive another 25 miles to get it. I don’t need it that bad. No, I would have to go on line and handle that. :mutmad: OK, so tell me. WTF is the point of the pick up? They can’t staff it, they can’t make any adjustments and they can’t get the items in.

--Third through fifth grade at Lockwood was much better. I really like the 5th grade class and the teacher is awesome. That always helps.

--New school today. Six classes of K-2.

--Pretty sure the thumb is going to require surgery. Most of the pain is gone but the ROM is not there and it is still “clicking” and getting caught. Crap. :meh: Need to figure out when the best time to do that will be.

--I feel like I’m fighting getting whatever the secretary had. Took a couple nighttime Alka-Seltzer tablets last night to try to beat it before it turns in to anything. I’m going to be mad if I get sick.

6 classes? DANG! At least they're little.

You guys expecting a ton of snow or is it all staying NE of you?

Classes are just 30 minutes each. Not too bad when there are only 3 different lesson plans. Gets hairy when I have 6 classes and they are all different.

Oh, about the snow....I think most is going to go around us although we are supposed to get some tonight into tomorrow.

Whenever I've ordered something online from Walmart for pickup it's always taken like a week to come in.  :wtf:  Some of the items I'm pretty sure were on the shelf.  :meh:

These both said in stock. That’s why I specifically chose the store location that I did. It wasn’t because it was closest to me. Their Walmart pay app sucks. Half the time it does not work. Last time I used it I was charged through the app but there was a bit of a glitch at the time. Cashier insisted I did not pay. We argued about this. Finally I took out my cc and paid using a physical card. Got home and not only had a paper receipt for that transaction but also the digital one for that payment. :mutmad:

My store pickup is also hit or miss. Somedays it is fine but other days no one is there and no one answers if you push the button for help. I also like that they have something in the app to check in and let them know you are there so they'll start getting it ready. yea right, that has never once worked or sped anything along.

I thought you were already scheduled for surgery, or was that for something else? I thought you were waiting for the new year to get something done

Waiting to see if this second cortisone injection takes care of the thumb. If not then I just need to call and schedule the surgery.

*It's pep band senior night.  I got a text yesterday afternoon asking if I could please escort him across the gym floor tomorrow.  A little more notice would've been nice so Dad could've made it too.   But senior night.

*Which means omg I have got to find time to color my hair today.  I do not want pics with my current stripe of gray.

*This week has kind of kicked my butt.  I'm definitely not in the swing of working every day again yet.

*I've been diligent about wearing gloves, but my poor hands are just so dry.  I have lotion everywhere in the house.

*We are supposed to get snow too, but I think we are in the lighter amounts.  Unfortunately Indy is in the higher amounts and it's supposed to hit the day Marie is supposed to drive back I think.

*I got home from my long day of work yesterday to find my daughter making dinner. :hug::hug:

Parent - By kelly_v Date 2019-01-11 7:29 AM
Senior night - wow!

Can Marie drive back Sunday ? I think it should be fine by then as the roads will have cleared.  That's so sweet she made dinner

Snow forecast just keeps increasing. At first it was 2" this weekend, then 4" now it is 4-7". Looks like it will mostly just be on Saturday which is OK since we have no where to go this weekend.

It will be fun to let B play in the snow. And at least this year I can actually get his feet in his snow boots so he can play more (last year I couldn't get his feet in - who makes baby/toddler snow boots that don't velcro open to put on easily??)

Of course I dont have a ski coat or waterproof winter jacket that fits me anymore so not sure what I'll wear if we do get a lot of snow.

My eating this week is awful, like worse than usual even. I think I'm trying to hit rock bottom before finally doing something about it.

Walmart Christmas clearance is 90% off today in most stores if you're in the mood to browse.

Dentist appt today - wonder what she will tell me.

Chiro again yesterday, mostly for my jaw. Things seem to be better but still off. I can tell my jaw is off by how my teeth line up but I wish I had a picture of them before to see how they naturally lined up. Maybe the dentist can tell me from an Xray
