It's Saturday!  What are your plans?

thanks for the start!
BBS are you ok?

Welcome December, nothing like a nice warm house on a cold rainy day.  Amy should be stopping by late morning, she's in town for a new hairdo.  Then I've got nothing until tonight's company Christmas party.  Have a relaxing weekend masters.

I am okay. We are 450 miles north, but felt the rumble for more than a minute. My third EQ since moving here. The last one knocked some things off a shelf and was close to breaking a window. Nothing compared to the people in ANC who are now homeless because of structural compromises.

The damage in Anchorage is extensive, our supply line up here is cut off for a bit, but it looks like the highway will be repaired and fully open soon. It has priority.
They got the airport open by 1:00 yesterday, that was quick... The only direction I could go if I needed to leave, would be to Canada. I am very grateful for my passport.

A colleague of ours at work was found dead in his apartment yesterday afternoon. It was a shocking and very, very sad day. Certainly makes one think.

Hope you, and everyone here are doing well.

Don't forget to tell the ones you love, that you do indeed love them.
You just don't know...

Glad you are safe.  So sad for those who lost property.  Sorry about the co-worker.  You are right.  We never know.

Thanks so much for the update.  Was thinking much about you.   I guess you are entering the dark days.

Happy December.   The Reindeer Romp was most festive again.  I really enjoy this race. Thru campus, past frats and dorms, thru the park. Most folks dressed in holiday garb.  I romped...meaning I ran and would stop to hand out some scratch off lottery tickets. Some walking to catch my breath during mile 3.  That is so lame.   A first this year.  I was in the post race soup and cookie line and one of the helpers says to me, "so you are the real Santa.  You're the one who gives out lottery tickets."  At that a gentleman, appears and wants to give back his won a few bucks.  "Santa never takes gifts back".  Lynda and friends liked that they got a motorcycle escort.  They were DFL!

Some notes:   Winning time 15:44, one of our youth team members won 9 and under.  Age 66 seniors winner 21:15!:shocker!:

Off to decorate at church.  Putting up the mitten tree.  Each mitten has gift suggestions for our homeless friends.

I walked 3.51 late this morning. I went up the hill and did a few condo loops.  It was drizzly and overcast.  Garmin says it is only 370 feet up the hill, but it was enough that I walked into  a layer of heavy fog. I am looking forward to trying a bit of a run tomorrow when it is 65 and sunny.

I have a big software install to do first. It is big in the sense of the number of program and database changes, but it is our dental system so I am not stressed about it.  Dental is pretty simple compared to medical so it doesn't worry me.  Just a few million records to convert rather than billions.

370 feet up, but Garmin says 470 feet down.

It rained a big part of the day.  I decided that I didn't want to get soaked in the cold rain, so I went to the gym and ran 8 miles on the TM.  I have very little running experience on any TM.  The first couple of miles I kept thinking I might fall off, but after a couple of miles I finally got the rhythm and had a good run.

Melissa and I attended a memorial service this afternoon.  Makayla is at work until close tonight.

That seems so odd to hear you 8 on the TM
