Drove about 10 hours yesterday and saw one little black bear. Today after our run we drove the 2km's home and saw 2 grizzly bears and just now a momma griz and cub in my backyard
Oh and 9km with Molly and the gang (saw lots of cows on the run)
You didn't take a selfie with any of the bears did you?
(I like wool!)

No Grizzlies on my first time on the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail, 8 miles. It was disappointing since it wasn't really a trail but a paved path mostly used by bicyclists and I should have worn my road shoes instead of trail shoes which have minimal cushioning. Plus you couldn't even see the river except at one pretty cool spot off the trail, the White Cliffs of Conoy
. At least that was pretty impressive and made a nice break.

Walked both cats this morning because mom is on a cruise around Italy. Going for a ride later. Calf doesn't seem to bother me at all while riding.
I saw a wild burrow on my D.V. trip.
So cute you have a calf

Against my better judgement, I got up at 4:45 to meet some friends for a 6:00 am run in the pouring rain. Our 72 year old marathon training friend wanted to run and so we did. He has been so dedicated in his training. It's truly inspirational. I am glad to have it out of the way and glad I have friends who will convince me to do insane things like that. Of course, I had a few other running friends who opted to stay home in their warm beds and sleep.
Track work this morning for me
Track work is one of my favorites. It always feels so great when you are done.
4.6 miles. Still humid. Still gross.
Better humid than raining!
1600 meter swim in the pool.
I saw a dead deer on the highway entrance ramp as I drove to the gym

5.2 miles before the rain for me this morning.
Lucky you, dodging the rain. It has been raining here since Friday night with only a few pauses.
6 1/2 gallos on an unusually warm day for these parts this late in the year. No bears , but the usual gaggle of geese and some yearlings .
Later to the lake with DW; maybe last kayak time for the year.
Good job on gallo-ing it out. I enjoy running with my friends who take a walk breaks. The run takes longer, but we have some interesting conversations on those runs.
