I think I'm getting to the bottom of this insane dead leg deal I'm battling....After non running for 3 days straight, I couldn't resist the 50 degree temps and I went out to run. 2 miles in I felt the very heavy legs but my HR was 127 and I was running 7:10 miles. then all of a sudden my back completely seized up. Like I got shot. There was no warning. I had to walk home. my legs felt even heavier and dead just walking. I think this is some kind of back/nerve deal and maybe that can help explain the dead heavy legs over these last few weeks...Either way, I need to get some help!
I hope that explains it and you can get it worked out. Will you be seeing someone for it?

20.2 miles this morning on the mill. My hip was sore in the night, but I never felt it after mile 3. We'll see how it is post run. It never bothers me running. Mostly I notice it sitting or after getting up from sitting.
This run definitely went better than last week, in spite of deader legs.
Wow! Great job MD!! You are on fire lately!

Dan (who finds it somewhat comforting knowing that there is currently a port a potty at 2.2 miles
haha, I hate when that happens!

Nice job on the run. Every year, around harvest time I notice how very open it is in the country with no tall fields any more, in cases of emergencies when I'd give anything for a port a potty or a corn field.
