I *loved* that intro!!! Best intro ever. I saw an interview with that guy not so long ago.
I wouldn't quite call it agony this morning. My run was not great. It was mid 70s, 100% humidity, lungs felt like sh!t, legs felt like concrete, was wrapped in a slime blanket that keep oozing down my body, blah blah. But, it was a solid, bonafide run with hills and everything, so it couldn't be but so bad. And then... I got to the gym... and got totally pissed off. There was a sign saying the gym would close at noon today and the reopening date was TBA. WTF? The storm has shifted and we aren't going to see much of anything, and if we do, it'll be over the weekend at the earliest?! Schools aren't even closed and they close for everything. So, this just pissed me off in a bad way and my workout just stunk.
It was a pilates video with resistance bands and not my favorite at all.
But! I do have the day off, so I did some minor cleaning and then went to hot yoga. I almost didn't, but I'm so glad I did. It was what I needed mentally. Lots of mindfulness of hands, connecting to the earth, how the body feels moving about, and exploring what it can do today. Exactly what I need and I feel so much better now. that being said, I"m still a mental case in class (I tore my knee doing yoga) And I tend to get upset when I can't do simple stuff like child's pose or sit with one leg bent and I have to just fight to let that go... But then I can do the things like this
and even a half decent compass
! (on my good leg side) so whatever. Be happy with what I can do and forget the rest.
And I had a Sheetz burrito for lunch and am getting ready for a mega nap. So, life can't be but so bad, right?
