"Mommy. You smell like a horse that's been dead from winter to spring." Quote by DS2 back in pre-school. Pretty fitting for me at the moment.
Who else is stanky today?
kids have such a way with words
Already up and to the gym. Longest ever on the stairmonster at new gym. A little over 60 min to get in 400 floors. 107ish steps per min. Then 30 min easy bike. Followed by a 30 min core video that wasn't near as hard as it used to be.
then some PT crap cuz my kneecap wasn't tracking right yesterday.
And now I just packed both of our cars. (we have little cars) Steven carried the crap downstairs got the sunroom. I carried it the rest of the way out the door, down 4 steps and loaded it into the car. DH stood in the kitchen and monitored his breakfast in the oven.
DS2 came in from his sleepover right at the end. I will not be unloading all the crap by myself.
And so yes, I am very very stanky. A shower is coming shortly.
Hope you had a successful move in!
You’re insane! Over an hour!
Yes, we were lucky. It started raining right after lunch (after moving in)
Good workout. What's with all the packing? Is this for back to school?
Yeah. I think they are the last group in the country to start.
Stanky since I just got home from a 33.4 mile bike ride. Rode the entire trip with one other person and 1 "unplanned" friend for 30 min of the ride. Got a flat for the 1st time in several years with about 6 miles left in the ride
Missed the rain shower that happened at home
Bummer about the flat but nice mileage!
Ugh on the flat. I hope the unplanned friend was welcome and not of the annoying variety?
Yes, absolutely. A running club/tri club friend out for a longer Half IM training ride & rode by an often used meeting place (elementary school parking lot) for weekend/summer rides.
That nice. With the quotes, I wondered if it wasn't a Seinfeld character type who just latched onto your group
Stank inducing humidity here. Ran 8 and the dewpoint was 72.
Starting packing for a 12-day vacation. My plan is get it all into a carry-on plus a small backpack.
Love a packing challenge!
Nice run! Have a great trip!
Oh I'm so jealous!!!!! Of the vacation - not the humidity.
we've got that covered
I smell beautiful today...last night I (with a little help from my friend) did my first honey harvest. We only did a shallow box and got over 6 litres (1.58503 US liquid gallons
Anyway....the smell of honey is everywhere. HOWEVER...
....Molly and I did do our usual 9 kms despite our late bedtime with the harvest. We had 11 cows run with us for about 300 metres (yards give or take
). It was really cool...3 or 4 were youngish
and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Cows are such sweet creatures....and I used to be afraid of running through them. We also rescued a little salamander that was right in the middle of the road.
We picked him up and put him on a rock in the early morning sun to warm him up.
It rained last night so it was clear and cool with very little opportunity for stank.
The honey project sounds awesome!
I ran by tons of cows today!
I thought cows wet mean? Or is that only if you try to tip them over?
My brother used to harvest honey. Fresh honey is so good!
This was our first shot at it. I'm more into my little bees just having happy lives but decided to harvest a little. There is likely
a couple hundred pounds still on the hives so whatever happens this winter it won't be starvation.
Stanky here too
8.1 miles - 4 with the husband - and then I had to poop. OMG I couldn’t wait. Anyway, uneventful but glad I was alone! We are at my folks so the only person that could’ve seen me was a random dove hunter.
so sorry, TMI!

We've all been there...
Must be something about Sept 1. We were about a mile from home (1.6km) and I felt the rumblings of an epic event. I call it being on "final approach". I did get home but was looking for a runway the last few minutes....
I got back....found my keys in their secret spot, took off the bear spray, and got my landing gear out for the rubber hitting the road. Good thing my house smells like honey!
Lol! Not that that has ever happened to me...
The healthier I eat, the more I have to rush home.
It's 1:30 and I haven't showered yet. But I'm going to momentarily.
Biked to the park, met my friends and ran 1.5 miles with them on the trails, biked home, did some yardwork, then met my friends at the end of their run for coffee on one friend's back deck. Good start to the day.
Then I got a concerned and slightly annoying (and lengthy) e-mail from my mom. It was sent with good intentions with some observations on the kids. She's observing from 200 miles away and only seeing little snippets of things. I felt compelled to reply and give her a more full picture of things. Lots of change...all 4 grandparents are getting older and can't really help much. Plus the result of not helping much is they're less plugged in to what's going on with the kids. And so I feel like I've got all 4 of them telling me how I'm supposed to be parenting, but their well-intentioned advice is based on incomplete and faulty information, and none of them are able to help much. I'm trying to generally be nice and cooperative and polite, but there are times when I'm tempted to just tell them to fuck off.
Oh well, time to shower, walk the neighbor's dog, and then head downtown for some ring shopping
I bet that’s a tough thing for you!
But sounds like you’ve got a fun day ahead!!
(Well, I go back to pay the balance and pick it up in ~2 weeks)
What does it look like?

parents. You know they mean well, but... But...
Congrats on the purchase
I don't do well with unsolicited advice. Most people don't and therefore they themselves should realized that before they start giving it.
As Mark Twain once said, "Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits".
Ironically, people that hand out advice tend to have plenty of issues and regrets of their own.
Not saying your the grandparents are bad folks.
Moving on to happier things: Good luck with the ring purchase!
Not now but my shorts looked like someone had thrown me in a pool after my run.
Did 12 miles at a slower than usual pace because there was no one to push me. I was not feeling like pushing myself with the heat and humidity. Any way it's done. Been rehydrating and refueling. Now it's time for that nap.
It's brutal out there today.
You probably would have been drier if you had jumped in the pool
Nice job in the 12!
