It's hump day!
What's up beside the heat?
I woke up at 3:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Stressing over EVERYTHING. Conor left for school at 6:20 and I decided to lay back down for a little while. I had just dozed off when Conor called and said he was hit from the rear in a 4 car accident in front of his school. He's fine and NONE of that other crap matters. Apparently, one person was taken to the hospital with minor back and neck pain, but nothing life-threatening. Very thankful today.
Oh Pam, sorry too hear about Conor's accident. Thank heavens he was not hurt.
I had a sleepless night also. Such is life.
Just had one of my favorite foods for breakfast -- warm flour tortilla with peanut butter and honey. Brings back fond memories of when I was a child. Plus it should give me fuel for my morning hike.
Thank you. Your breakfast sounds good. I just remembered I haven't eaten anything yet....I sure have had coffee though!
Hi Pam. Sorry about Conor getting hit. Glad he is ok.
Thanks. There are so many accidents around his high school. Thankfully he's okay and it was his fault.

Meant to say it WASN'T his fault!
Glad Conor is ok. I sure wish all these issues would stop piling up on you and your family. You could use a break.
Thanks, Dave. Crazy life......Just happy my boy is safe today.
How can one family have so much bad luck? Glad Conor is ok.
Thanks, Dawn! Yeah, it's terrible but I automatically expect the worst.....
Thanks for the various vitamin B12 tips yesterday. Too bad the standard blood test doesn't include a check for vitamin B12. Or maybe that isn't a blood test thing.
4 miles this morning. At the end of the run I sat for a while on my Honda Element's tailgate drinking water. One runner I see often stopped to chat for a minute. We shared the same complaint about the park gates being opened too early in the morning. Cars speed through the park to take a shortcut into town and the schools. We can't wait for late fall when the gates get locked for the winter.
Someone dropped off domesticated rabbits at the park. One of them hopped right up to me this morning to say hello, or maybe to see if I had any food, or maybe to ask why they have to fend for themselves out in nature.
Poor rabbits. We have a family of bunnies behind our house right now! I really enjoy watching them hop around!
All is well here in lovely Maryland.
Very humid and warm this morning. Felt like i was running in hot pea soup this morning
14.03 miles this morning. 4 miles easy. 8 miles @ GMP of 7:38. Splits: 7:50, 7:43, 7:40, 7:42, 7:36, 7:23, 7:37, 7:36. Avg Pace for GMP portion: 7:38 2 miles cool down.
Run was tough and splits were erratic but the overall pace was where i wanted it.
You obviously have no B12 issues. You never slow down.
well it might not have been slower, but it was a lot harder than a similar workout i did last weekend when the weather was better.
Hey we have not heard any beach stories. Did you go to the beach this summer?
just been going to the beach a few days here and there this summer. mainly Sam taking the kids for a day or 2 to my mom's place, about 2.5 hours from here.
and the older kids have been driving down for day trips with friends.
I bet the beach umbrella girls are missing you!
Yup. Cause everyone 18 year old girl wants a 53 year old short bald dude with 13 kids
Well you just never know. Maybe they looked forward to your smile and pleasant personality.

You forgot the "not rich" part. The other stuff is just details.
Cool down on the way. Place your orders here.
I'm wearing capris and long sleeves. Will switch to shorts and short sleeves for my run. 5" of rain came thru last night and dropped the temps 30 degrees. Happily in the upper 60's today and only one big limb to pick up from the storms.
I just cleaned the fridge while waiting for the sun to peek thru. How it can get so dirty with only 2 people living here I will never know.
Mammo this afternoon and yesterday's haircut was rescheduled to Friday. That's the scoop from NW IL.
I'd like to order some cool weather for next week. Do you deliver?
A friend and I are BARTing to S.F. for lunch at Gumps and the a lot of walking up and down hills in S.F. working our way back to BART after lunch - we will like cover ~20,000 steps!
Have a good Wed - Sun, and on and on!
