1.5 miles in super hot heat on a black 1/2 mile track with no shade and I called it. UGH!  Gonna try for another decent run tonight.

Got up early this am and Rip and I did a 30 min yoga. Nice:cool:

That track run sounds rough!

Great job on the early yoga this morning!

It was an excellent yoga choice. We take about 10 min to agree on a video on Amazon. But it was all legs and hips and opening up the hips, which even Rip was feeling:laugh:

Tonights run will either be hilly at home or on the Silver Comet, but either way it will be shaded:cool::cool:

4 for me this morning (yes that means hills)
finally got the toe box loosened up, I might actually really like these shoes.
kind of slow this morning, maybe it was yesterday's leg workout .. but I chose to just let it happen

Peace

Great job!  Are the new shoes the Reebock ones or the Supernovas?
Parent - - By Baggins [us] Date 2018-08-07 11:56 AM
Supernova's .. they may be a little too cush for you, but honestly, they did a lot of things right with this shoe, I do see where one of the complaints (quick wear out) may come in though.
It looks like they tried get a couple of ounces out of the sole, and went with more of a "Dot" layout instead of a full panel, but we'll see.

I like a wider toe box, so it took a bit to get them loosened up enough, but todays run went really well ... so we have hope
also ... arch is noticeable and I was concerned about that, but again today .... bueno
also also .. initially length seemed short, but once the heel cup gets some action, you tend to move back in it a hair and all is good

so all in all they may be slightly better than my $39 closeouts with little or no forefoot padding ... but it's close :mischief:

I’m a total adidas guy, but I’m with you on the quick wear of the sole. The toe of all of my shoes wears down pretty quickly with the adidas stuff, I just can’t change because everything else seems so perfect for me at least...I hope the supernovas do well for you!

I wear super cushioned shoes.    And the wider toe box is something I do need.  I may need to try these again.  Thanks for the review.  Hope you get a lot of happy miles from them.

super humid again this morning.  I just didn't have much energy but it was a HR run so I kept it at 137 avg HR for 6.5 sweaty miles and the pace was 7:05

Nice job getting it done.

It wasn't just the weather that was foggy today, I was as well.  It took me a long time to get moving and motivated this morning.  I got the dog out for her walk.  Usually that's enough to get me loosened up and not so meh about the day.  It worked today as well.    If the body moves, the motivation usually eventually catches up.  : pbbt:  If I wait for the brain to be on board, it can be a very long wait.  Then 10.1 on the treadmill.  My back is a little tight today, I need to do some stretching.  :meh:

I'm exactly the same way with just getting the body moving....Once I think too much about it things seem to head south....Great job getting it done and I hope that back loosens up!

This was probably a bad idea, but it wouldn't be the first one.   5.1 miles tonight.
