Nice job on the soccer winning, which by all accounts was very exciting for those who watched it :shocker!:

That last counter attack was bonkers.

Maybe not the first 45 minutes, but the second half sure made up for it

Congrats to Belgium on the World Cup win! I saw some snippets of the second half, including the tying goal. Quite a game!
Parent - - By Tommeke Date 2018-07-03 7:33 AM
I have no merit whatsoever in their win but will gladly accept the congratulations :cool:

Celebrate anyway! It's your country's team, you should be proud of them.

Brazil is going to be a formidable opponent. Good luck!

It’s kind of ridiculous. The guy is a great player, but he needs to stop with the “Owwwww!!!! He kicked me and I’m dying!!!” theatrics.
Parent - By Tommeke Date 2018-07-06 5:55 PM
He can stop for awhile now

We went last Christmas and I am dying to go back.   We went by ourselves, not on a tour which is how I would recommend doing it - although there is not too much English anywhere (including Tokyo).    Everything was amazing- the natural beauty, the traditions, the culture, the people, and the food.   You won't want to leave.
Parent - - By Tommeke Date 2018-07-03 2:25 PM
would you recommend a tour or by myself, wasn't clear to me  :wtf::blush:

I was already checking for toured travels, but you have to book too much in advance, I'd rather just book a month or two in advance max.
Parent - By gadget girl Date 2018-07-03 2:36 PM
sorry, my sentence was very unclear.  If you are a seasoned traveler, I don't think  you need a tour.   We managed just fine just by studying the subway maps in advance and relying on the amazing kindness of the Japanese people.  My kid did learn some Japanese which was helpful, but I think you can do it without language skills.

Wow! Congratulations again to the Belgium men's soccer team! Beating Brazil is the real deal.
- - By Tim [us] Date 2018-07-11 7:24 PM
Congratulations to Belgium on a great World Cup.
Parent - By Tommeke Date 2018-07-12 4:29 AM
Well, what did we actually do?
Beat a couple of countries we're supposed to beat (not counting the group stage game against England where both B teams played), and a great win against Brazil.
That's it.
Still, a great campaign and attractive football (compared to most other teams), but there was more to get out of it than a semi-final IMO.

I hope we can keep this level up for awhile to perform as well in coming tournaments.
Euro 2020 should still be good, but for the next World Cup there will probably be a couple of guys pushing 30 retiring (Kompany, Fellani, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, ...).
