Haven't posted a daily for a few days so here is my catch-up:Friday
: ran to Pilates. Plan was to run home as well, but it was *bucketing* rain when the class finished, and I was too lightly dressed to withstand being out in that :delicate:, so I signed out a car from a carshare program I belong do, and drove home. It was the right choice but blew my hope of getting in 10K steps every day last week. Saturday
: went to DD's softball tournament in the morning - they played well, and won the two games I was there for.
Skipped her third game as friends of ours were having a get-together and we needed to send a family representative. Ran to our friends' place, which turned out to be more of a run than I expected as the trail system between our houses had been ripped up in three separate places for construction, so I had to dipsy-doodle around to figure out a way of actually getting to where our friends live. I eventually arrived, and was well-fed for my troubles. Sunday
: crazy-busy with non-running stuff - I'm taking a graduate course next week that has been compressed into three days so there is a *tonne* of reading to do and I needed to focus on that. I had hoped to get out for a run or a walk but didn't prioritise that enough for it to actually happen.Monday
: back-to-back meetings from 7:00-1:00 followed by zipping right out my office door to the airport for a flight to Vancouver. Arrived here in time for a phone meeting, then went out for a run by the ocean.
So beautiful, and a nice treat to be away from home for a while - my allergies have been in hyperdrive and I have been taking allergy meds around the clock for weeks now. Don't need the meds here. Today
: got a nice sleep-in (went to bed at 10:00 and set my alarm for 8:00 :bliss:). I have a meeting at 11:00 at a place that's about an hour's walk from my hotel, so I'll walk there and back and that will be the exercise for the day.
