Cooler today! Wanted to pick it up a bit. Allergies were terrible but I’m starting to feel like a runner again

10 miles at 6:52 overall pace. 10th Mile was at 6:24

What a great run!  You were moving!

I was so excited it is cooler I and was looking forward to a great run outdoors. And instead it was pretty awful. I just didn’t feel good at all. It felt humid and I was running easy pace but it didn’t feel easy.  I probably should’ve gotten out there earlier. Cold front or no, it’s still summertime and a noon run is just stupid.

Yeah, I’d struggle with the noon thing too! I’m sorry MD!

5K race this morning. This race is always really hot and humid. Lucky for us we had cloud cover so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Well, other than the near 100% humidity. And good for me, they didn’t have the half marathon option this year so I only suffered for 28:45 instead of 2.5 hours.

I was second overall female which got me first in my AG and Iowa was third in his AG. Lots of old, fast dudes. : pbbt: The girl who came in first was one of the gals on the interview committee I had a few months ago.

12 miles towing the J man in the bike trailer
Parent - - By Mickeyd Date 2018-06-03 11:33 AM
Awesome!  I hope you didn’t have the wind we have here today. That would be brutal to bike in.

Oh I did on the way back. I didn’t realize how strong it was on the way out, I just thought I was in really good shape hahaha.

His trailer acts like a parachute. It is NOT easy into the wind!:shocker!:

Oh man, I bet that was rough. I hate it when I go with the wind first, not knowing how rough it’s going to be on the way back.

I had planned to run again last night but Bill vetoed the idea. He’s only said something like that a handful of times in all these years so I skipped it. I felt so awful after the earlier run I was pretty much dreading it anyway. We ended up walking on the beach for about an hour instead. That was probably a lot better for me right now as a lot of the symptoms I’d been having earlier in the day finally calmed down.

Today I got out there earlier and drove to the lake to run. It’s really gusty today and the lake route doesn’t have me in the wind for miles at a time.  I ended up running three laps for 10.3 very enjoyable miles.
