Time to share it.

What's up in your world?

Not running today.  Body saying, No Tommy, don't do that to me.

But I still had an amazing 5k this morning.  Strawberry, blueberry shortcake.  Lynda makes the best Bisquick shortcake.  Probably about a 5k calorie breakfast, but it was sooooooo goooooooood.

Major flooding in NC.  School is closed today for my grandkids. Can't get to some of the schools due to flooding.  Ellen's house is fine since it is well elevated.  Just have to watch for mudslides.   Not an imminent danger for them.  We travel there Monday.

I thought Ellen home-schooled.   Good to know they are high and dry.

What's up Doc?

Ran 7.13 miles this morning. Cool but muggy out. Sweating like an airedale on p0rn star coffee.

I spent a good share of the morning changing the password on my router so the Russians don't get me.  And then I changed the wifi password and locked myself out.  Google is good thing for techno-challenged people.

It's been raining for about 6 hours.  A money-making rain for the farmers.  If you're a dog that needs to tend to bathroom business it is not such a good thing.  In the end, we just went out and embraced the downpour.  Poo pick up is challenging on a nice day.  Today it was an Olympic event!

I don't know what today's workout will be yet.  I'd prefer to run or bike but I think I'm stuck indoors.

I've been trying to be productive today. Yesterday was so hot I was a slug!  I couldn't get the fan to work (Chris turns the blades until it starts) so I bought a fan! :shocker!:: pbbt: This morning I could not get out of bed. But I managed around 7:30 (late for me, except lately). I thought I had the house to myself and Chris son gets up. He's suppose to be at work at 7:30 but never leaves until that time and today it was 8:15. Do not know how he keeps that job.

I digress... Ran 3 miles (R5 W1 x5) then did a quick leg workout at the gym. Been doing chores all morning. Was trying to weed but could not stop sneezing so time for the neti pot. So I thought I'd check in. They are fixing the end of the road YAY!!! I am always afraid I'm going to twist my ankle there. And the neighbor is having some landscaping company work in her yard. So it's mega noisy today. I think that is it.

Have a great day Tom and Masters!!!

Just the temperatures!

My friend and I went out for our PW at 7:30 am, trying to beat the heat.  It wasn't too bad.   After we finished walking the bike policeman came and talked to us.  We have seen him several times, and this time we introduced ourselves to each other.  He does this on his day off and gets overtime pay for it.  Nice guy.

Today is an inside day -- too darn hot to be outside.  I need to gather all my treasurer paperwork and hand it over to the new guy!  Yea!  I feel so relieved.   Don't know why, it really wasn't a hard task but maybe because my heart really wasn't into it.

I finished the audiobook "The Book Thief" yesterday.  I had the hardest time getting into the hard copy and my walking friend said I should really read it.  She had read it several times.  So I downloaded the audio version.  I couldn't stop listening to it.

Stay safe and cool!

I woke up this morming with a sharp pain the base of my neck on one side.  I must've slept in a bad position.  It was raining so I postponed a run until around noon.  The neck hurt so bad from the jarring that I considered turning around after .2 of a mile.  I kept going and after a mile or so it felt better.  Completed 5 miles and I felt much better in my neck.  So, a run can be good medicine, or in this case a nice massage in my neck muscle from the road run pounding.

I ran 2 this morning and then drove to Midland Michigan. Cindy is at a retirement party. I had dinner with a friend and got caught up on his work in Haiti.

Hi all! Soggy here in Central Florida. We have had more rain the last three weeks or so than I have seen in the three years I have lived here. Usually we're hoping for rain.
Courts are puddled up so no tennis this morning before my gym workout. I power walked  1/2 mile for a warmup. Annual Medicare checkup this morning and all was good.
A week from Friday we head back to Philly for 3 week visit with our son and the grand dog. The usual 2 day drive up.
That's it from The Villages folks. Have a great day.
Run safe!
