Yes, I realize we're still a solid month away from summer.
I ran a slow, miserable 14 miles. It was in the upper 60s before dawn and unbearably humid. Very foggy, but with sun trying to burn through. It was one of those runs that seemed to go really slowly, too. Seven miles in I could swear I had been running for two hours. Reality was not much better, given how slowly I was moving.
I was completely drenched in sweat for most of the run and by the end I couldn't keep the sweat out of my eyes. And I ended up with chafing in places that ought to only get chafed from a much more enjoyable activity.
I don't think anyone other than imaginary friends would put up with my whining and moaning.
That sounds miserable. Especially the chafing part....
Indeed. I am not enjoying being a runner right now.
Ouch. That sounds awful. Whine and moan away. (I can easily take 2 hours to run 7 miles.)
