Wow, we got some rain last night.

--Florida deer fly bites heal faster than Missouri chigger bites. And, that’s a fact. : pbbt:

--Thinking that my goal in the 12 hr race this summer might be to keep from getting lapped by Michelle to 100 laps.:laugh: Pitiful thing is, that could be hard to do. :meh:

--No time to run. It’s not that I’m lazy because I’m always doing something.

--Got birthday cards and the Barnes and Noble gift cards in the mail to my nieces and nephews yesterday. I feel like the bad aunt here. At least I remembered Violet’s birthday and sent her a text yesterday.

--The girl that our local police officer shot last week ended up dying. It’s a weird deal all the way around. Kind of what you get when you mix 3 lowlife, deadbeat druggies with an Aurora police officer. :meh::roll: Whole thing is under investigation by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

--Sold some lettuce and kale yesterday. Not exactly going to get rich off of the proceeds but something to tuck away into the house fund.

I think you're safe.  I haven't been training and am not feeling too confident about this whole thing.  :meh:

Run with me:laugh:

A friend of ours signed up for the 12 hour. She hasn't run a step in months. I think she's shooting for 5K

Finally got our 2nd relay team. 2 local XC teams are now in. Our own team hasn't even manned up with a team yet

I'm tempted to do as much as I can for the 6hr and then walk for as long as possible after. Just to see....cause I'm dumb like that:laugh:

I’ve been contemplating writing my entry off as a donation. :meh: But, I won’t.

You'd better be here :mutmad:

You are like the busiest person I know when it comes to stuff outside of work

I assume the girl who got shot was one of the druggies?
Parent - - By spiritbear [us] Date 2018-05-15 8:34 AM
She had a drug past. Supposedly she was trying to get her shit together and get cleaned up. She was still hanging out with druggies though and story has it she was serving as an informant to the cops to turn this guy in. She was driving, had this guy and his girlfriend in the car. She had already made the cops aware she was with them and they were on their way to pull her over. Well, when they pulled her over and the cops started walking to the car the guy leaned over to the drivers side, put the car in reverse, pushed on the gas and hit one of the officers. Officer ended up not being injured. Other officer pulled out his gun and shot the driver, who was the girl. She died a few days later. It’s an effed up mess.

oh wow
Parent - - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:29 AM
It is so muggy my arms are sticking to my desk:blush:

We still have fleas, but now we are killing all the baby fleas. The levels are way lower. I only had 2 this am on my socks. Our soap traps in each room caught about 20. Not as many as expected. And we are vacuuming every day. This afternoon the flea guy is coming out again to treat inside and outside. Wow that flea guy loves his job. He is so animated and loud and knowledgeable about bugs it is highly entertaining. And what a talker:laugh:

David told Drew (drafter) that they should put a bunch of pepper in the traps so that I would think there were tons of fleas.............:mutmad::roll: I'd have totally believed it.

6 hr race - omg what was i thinking?

Doc called and my thyroid is way out of whack.....would probably help if I didn't run out of meds and forget about them......or so I have heard:blush::blush:

Literally dripping at work after vacuuming. The office is 80 degrees. The air is on but I don't think it is gonna help. What is worse? All the sweat in my hair feels like fleas:cry: Heck, maybe it is, I had fleas in my hair yesterday here.
Parent - By Mickeyd Date 2018-05-15 6:37 AM
I'd be asking to work from home.

One of my clients had a flea infestation in their house a few years ago and I would come home and literally strip in my garage, throw my clothes directly into the washing machine upon entering the house and run to the shower every week when I finished there.

12 hr race--wtf was I thinking? :cry::cry:

Take a break every 30 minutes during your race
Parent - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 7:07 AM
screw it. I'm all in.....just not where I wanted to be right now.
Parent - - By kelly_v Date 2018-05-15 7:41 AM
blech fleas and hot/humid office sounds awful

Can you get your meds on a mail order schedule where they just ship them out automatically?
Parent - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 7:51 AM
No. This is the doc that constantly wants to retest. And this time i can't blame him since i didn't take my meds so my levels are so whacky. They were on auto-refill but then expired and now i'm back every two months:roll:

*Anthony "suited up" for his first day at work yesterday.  I think he will be in a bit of shock for awhile.  After having so much free time for so long, working all day everyday will definitely be an adjustment.

*I'm beginning to share Melissa's opinion of the medical field.  :meh:  I've been having some issues swallowing for well, it's 7 weeks now.  :shocker!:  It's taken this long to finally get some tests done tomorrow.   2 weeks to see a doctor.  3 weeks to get in to a specialist.  With a referral.  :mutmad:  Another 2 weeks to get the test scheduled...  They assure me it isn't serious, but if it was I'd be dead before they knew what it even was.   And it's so frustrating that no one seems to be concerned with how miserable this is for the patient, me.  :mutmad:  Basically I've spent nearly two months feeling like I have something stuck in my throat.  :shocker!:  Yeah, that's been fun living with, not to mention the numerous times I've nearly choked.

*Tomorrow's test is a fasting test, no coffee.  So I'll just apologize in advance for how grumpy I'm going to be. :cry:

*Anthony's last race went about how I thought it would.  He was in the 1500 for 3 1/2 laps and when the kicking started his hamstring seized and he limped it in.   Not how he wanted everything to end. But big picture, running paid for over $120,000 of his college education.  :shocker!::cool:  He's taking a month off of everything now and hopefully that will do it and he will finally heal.

*We have no trips planned now until July.  I mean, I'm sure something will pop up before then, but nothing is planned.  :shocker!:  I told Bill we will be bored.  He doesn't seem to think so.  But, with 3 trips to Nashville in 2 weeks, I think he's still a little road weary.
Parent - - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:42 AM
That sounds miserable with your throat. I wonder if you will need an esophogeal dilation. My dad has had that done a few times. I wonder if I'm going to need it done because I've done the choking thing more often lately. Though not enough to do anything about. But I wonder about in 10 years....

Fasting tests:sad: No coffee? That is just torture. What kind of 15th century medicine is this?: pbbt:
Parent - - By Mickeyd Date 2018-05-15 6:46 AM
They doubled my heartburn medication dosage even though I told the doctor I wasn't having increased symptoms of heartburn.  Surprisingly that didn't help.

>What kind of 15th century medicine is this?: pbbt:

I know, right?  I mean bring on the blood-letting instead if I can at least have my coffee.
Parent - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:55 AM
Bring on the leeches and trepanning.

Hey at least the leeches might be helpful.
Parent - - By Photocat [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:44 AM
Do you have reflux?
Parent - By Mickeyd Date 2018-05-15 6:47 AM
I do, which is the most common cause of this, or so says Dr. Google.   But treating it more aggressively doesn't seem to be helping.
Parent - By spiritbear [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:52 AM
Oh geez, I didn’t realize you were having some medical concerns.

I had a client come in yesterday and the first thing she said was “I’m with you. I’m done with doctors”. I won’t even begin to get in to details with her recent experience. Someone needs to be ashamed.
Parent - - By flyguy (Stump Grinder) [us] Date 2018-05-15 6:57 AM
Dangit I was hoping for a better finale for Anthony.
Parent - - By Mickeyd Date 2018-05-15 7:00 AM
Me too.  The race went out perfectly for him, not too fast to put prolonged stress on the hamstring.  He was in great position, running second/third for the first 3 1/2 laps.  He was right there.  He just couldn't respond when it was go time.

Parent - - By kelly_v Date 2018-05-15 7:42 AM
What kind of work is Anthony doing?

Hope you can get some relief, almost 2 months of painful swallowing sounds miserable

He’s working for a marketing company.  South Inc. Thry do marketing for AT&T so if he hits some goal he can get half off his mobile bill as an added incentive.
