I have to do some weekend work, so I got up early and got things going. Then off to the park for a 3.2 mile run. I was a little sore after the 8 yesterday (which is my long run distance at the current time.)
Back home to do some more work.
Then coffee & book study with the guys.
And now back at work for a bit. What I am doing is going to take days to complete but once it is going I don't have a lot to do. All I'll have to do is check on the progress during the day. We only want to keep 10 years of medical claims on the system so I am deleting anything older than that. I did this a few years ago so we're back up to 13 years worth of stuff. Just short of 20 million claims to delete (and all their many pieces.)
I had a couple glitches the first time I did this (a few years ago) but I plugged those holes and it should run ok this time. Last time I had to get a bunch of stuff off the back-up tapes that shouldn't have been deleted and restore it to the system. Hey, who knew that we were doing credits on 15 year old claims!? I sure didn't...
Work has been dominating me lately and my only vacations for the past year or two have all been visiting family with lots of driving/road time. I like visiting family, but I would like to squeeze in a couple days for myself this year. Maybe a mid-June half somewhere. Not too far away, but somewhere I could find a quiet place and make a long weekend out of it. I'll look around at Kentucky, Virginia, and Pennsylvania races. Maybe even Ohio, but I don't like Ohio that much so I doubt I'll go there.
