Pulling double duty on the volunteer work this weekend.

Saturday 4/14 I have the pleasure of helping with the sweep of Lake Sonoma 50. Our very own soundandjenny will be there as well and are coordinating this.

Sunday 4/15 I will be helping at Grizzly Peak Trail Run. First I will help with traffic/parking, then off to man an aid station until it is time to sweep part of the course.

3 Mile "Gladiator Dash" in College Station, Texas on Saturday.  Blazergirl is getting her "Aggie Ring" on Friday (a big milestone on the Texas A&M cult, I mean, culture) and she asked me to participate in this race with her the next day.  Could it be she wants to spend time with ole mommy?  Or, could it be she simply wants to crush me in a competition she thinks I will approach timidly?  I am betting on the latter.

Goal is to not fall, trip, or <insert other stupid thing> and hurt myself, a week before my marathon.

You are going to crush her!
Parent - By blazer85 [us] Date 2018-04-12 2:24 PM
She spends all her time studying and working out.  She is one tough, little beotch!  When she forced me to do a Spartan Race last year, she crushed me!

Hope you enjoy.  I ran my first road marathon in over six years last weekend.  I'm still processing the experience.
Parent - By Mookiethedog Date 2018-04-14 8:51 AM
This will be EXCACTLY the same...a road...and it will seem like a marathon .  I'm actually going to wear a bright jacket and try to win a prize and then just tell people I won (if I get a prize)

It's raining and kind of shitty so fine to run in but I always feel bad for the organizer and volunteers.

Nice one getting back to doing a marathon.....I have a trail race in June and I'm hoping I haven't conveniently forgotten how it feels those last few miles
