A little know bit of schadenfreude, the orifices in the crew oxygen masks aboard aircraft are larger than those for the passengers because they have to fly, you just need to live.
Of the 20 top rated television broadcasts of all time, 19 were Super Bowl telecasts.
The Super Bowl, the highlight of Football season, gets 100 million viewers.
A regular season soccer game between Barcelona and Real Madrid (okay, it's called "El Classico" but all in all it's still just a regular season game
) gets 400 million viewers worldwide.
I actually didn't mean it that way
It was just to offer some context to the amount of viewers in general.
Even the 400 million number is disputed.
Probably big events like the Euro-song Festival, or the Olympics and soccer world cup finals will draw the biggest viewers worldwide.

I was just messin' with ya...
Apologies, the source was a U.S. newspaper and I would surmise that the writer was thinking only of US broadcasts.
Thanks for pointing out worldwide viewing of true football.
The only other entry was the MASH final episode
Funny though that other countries have similar patterns.
Germany's top 20 are all football games except one.
New Zealand's top 20 all rugby games except one.
Yep. "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" is still the top scripted episode of all time.

I think I remember something similar for the last Olympics. I also remember reading that people prefer keeping them as souvenirs to using them as, well you know.
