The government is shutdown, not the forum.
I spent a couple of hours at the animal shelter and now have the rest of the day free. I couldn't get interested in the football games yesterday. For me, last week was so good this week was a let-down. I hope the Super Bowl is exciting.
Have a good Monday everyone; I have a rainy day indoor yoga practice on tap. Once the weather straightens out I'm going to find consistent running to be a good challenge.
I too am hoping for an exciting Super Bowl. My brother is betting on the Eagles, so for his sake, I want the Eagles to win.
You are such a good person for volunteering at the animal shelter.

Thanks for the compliment but really it is all about the people there. I volunteer with 3 retired teachers who have know each other since their college days. They have been so nice in letting me join their friendship. Unfortunately we are known as the "Monday Cat Ladies" but I can live with that. As we started chatting it turns out we all went to the same college, lived in the same dorm. I was just there several years after they had all graduated. Good friends, small world.
School is not shutdown today either. We are back on schedule after a week of being snowed in.
It was so nice this morning outside. 52F and the roads were clear. I think I may have run a bit faster than usual. 8 miles.
Woo hoo, school is back in session!
1 hour plus lifting weights at the gym with Sam. 4.23 mile run home.
Josh, Katie and baby Ellie have been visiting from Nebraska. they are leaving shortly for the airport
I bet you are sad to see the kids leave, especially baby Ellie. Post a picture of her if you can.
I am sure you are speedo ready now!
Ran 3.06 at lunchtime. 65° and windy.
It is getting windy here also. Much windier than when I went out this morning.
Superbowl here we come. Well not me, but the whole Philadelphia area. Nobody saw predicted that the Eagles would blow out the Vikings. It's fun with all of the news coverage. I can get a complete Superbowl package for $7800 per person.
Took a guy up to Philly airport yesterday afternoon. I could see the stadium in the distance (about 3 miles). It was tempting to go and just walk around the tailgaters. Apparently it was one huge party.
Planning to run later this afternoon.
Tom in DE
$7,800 per person! That is a lot of $$$$$$$. I'll just watch it from the comfort of my home.
Government back up for ~3weeks! Crazy D.C.
Meals on Wheels for me today.
C U later.
Band aid solution. Crazy indeed!
Just returned from a 5 mile power walk, did a 1 minute plank and 2 sets of 2 pushups!
It is sunny and 49 degrees. I may work out in the yard later this afternoon.
Have a good day all!
you ramped up that plank time pretty quickly, good for you!
I added 10 seconds every week. I think I am going to stay at a minute and next week will try and do to sets.
Or add side planks and reverse planks. I can hold a front plank for a few minutes but those side planks, whew, my arms start collapsing around 40 seconds.
Good idea on the side and reverse planks. Thanks!
