4.4 for me. 1*. Ran 2.3 of it on the lake. There were quite  a few ice fishermen out today.

The ice fishermen probably thought you were crazy.

And I thought the same of them.

Winter brings out the determination in all of us.

Did the fisherman have huts or were they sitting on a bucket?

a little of both.

There's some fairly elaborate ice shanties on the lakes right now.

12 miles; the first 3 with Bogey. Only saw 2 rabbits.  7* but a bit windy I think the windchill was below 0.

12 miles in this weather is quite an accomplishment.

4 miles - wore too many layers and got hot! Good run though!

You learn a lot about what works running in this weather.

Nice run!

8 miles on the tm followed by a 45 minute spin class. I finally got some padding (moleskin) to fill in my spin shoes, which were just a tad too big, with a gap between the heel and my foot- very annoying. But once they were adjusted, what a big difference! My cadence went up right away. The double workout cleared out a lot of stress for me, after we saw my son's grades for his 3rd semester of college.:meh: The sad part is, he really tried this semester, went to all his classes and said he was doing all the work. He's always struggled with testing anxiety, but now I think there might be more going on, maybe an ADD or something.

My daughter had a hard time her first semester. She did better her 2nd semester, but she hated it. This year after going back, she seems to be getting the hang of it.  I hope you get some answers.

4.6 miles for me today.  Cold out there.

Every mile seems like a marathon to me in the cold.

Feeling kind of sore after running 7 days straight (keep in mind, my longest run has been 4.5 miles and I was starting up after a month of basically nothing), so today was just 1 mile and yoga, just to keep the January streak going.
Parent - By noquitter [us] Date 2018-01-06 1:40 PM
I thought about doing a streak. I think they are good for certain people so maybe you will find it motivational.

Are you streaking on purpose or is it just kinda happening?  :wtf:

Nice job either way.

streaking on purpose for January, just to get back on track. at least 1 mile a day.

80 minutes on the spin bike while watching basketball.  Nothing too tough, but at least I wasn't sitting on the couch with Doritos and a beer.  Mmmm, Doritos.

17 miles. It was -4 when I got to the park and +2 when I finished up. Some wind. Some snow on the trail which required a little extra effort in parts.

Funny. I was going to do 20. Then as I lay in bed with the warm flannel sheets and kitties and wind whipping, I thought, maybe I will postpone the 20 to next weekend. Once I was out there though, it was fine and a reminder that the wind is always worse on the hill where I live. I ended up with 17 because it occurred to me that it would be good luck for the Bills since it was 17 years since they last made the playoffs. Oh well

Ran 3 with Benji - about halfway in I tripped on a sidewalk bump and nearly face planted - caught myself just in time (in front of another runner of course  ) and now my knee feels wonky.
