Good morning!

How is everyone coping with the cold, snow and ice?  I am glad that our cold spell is done for this week.

What are the weekend plans?

Enjoy your day!

good running.  All at one speed or did you play around with it?  I have to mess with the speed and incline or go nuts.

I did some "intervals" yesterday, but today I just got in the zone at a 10:20 pace and just kept it there.  I started at a .5 incline, and went to 0 halfway through.

I was halfway through a pod cast by a guy (JP Moreland) who wrote a book called "The Lost Virtue of Happiness".  I had read that book years ago and this was an old podcast, but someone recently linked to it on Facebook so it new to me.  Once I finished that I switched to music.  I have a new Sandisk MP3 player and I haven't loaded much on it yet.

First time I hit an hour on the gym treadmill. Even though I was in "manual" mode, it slowed down and put me in cool down mode. I had to crank the speed back up. It slowed down every minute. It was getting annoying. I guess if I wasn't so slow it wouldn't have taken me 63 minutes to complete 6 miles.  The treadmill said I was doing a 5 minute cool down, so I guess it would keep trying to slow me down until that was over and then I don't know what it would have done, just stopped maybe?

I dislike treadmills that think they know more than you.

actual air temp -22*,  -23* with the wind.  4 layers on my head, 5 on my upper body, 4 on my lower for a mile hike with the dog.  I'm starting to almost not even notice the cold.  Almost.

I haven't had the car out since Monday so today's the day.  Library, grocery store, Saturday night Mass, and out to eat.

Yoga again today; my sciatica is screaming.

I am sure that by now you don't notice the cold.  It's like us with the heat, after a while you learn to live with it.

Stay warm and hope the yoga helps your sciatica.

I waited until 12:30 this afternoon to run.  Ryan is home until later this evening and it was nice to be at home before he leaves.  It was 17F and windchill at 6.  The sun was shining.  Run total of 8.10 miles on a different route than normal.

We may get some ice/freezing rain tomorrow night.

Good afternoon all. Looks like everyone is coping with the elements. I love Florida but I do miss those snow runs in the forest trails.
This morning, a 3.1 mile run/jog ( hate that word ) and 16.0 miles on the bike. Saturday is usually a long ride day but since I'm not training at the moment I kept it simple.
Only plans for the rest of the day is football. Have as nice weekend everyone.
Run safe
