10.2 for me right at 7:00 pace. Everything is tight from the back so I just got the miles in and took it easy. Avg HR was 136

Nice run!  Glad you’re able to get out there again.

Back on the stuff. I guess I'm a prednisone junkie. I'm still in a lot of pain. I'm probably going to have to up my dosage. Anyway, put me down for a 2'sh mile run this morning.
Parent - - By spiritbear [us] Date 2017-12-02 10:34 AM
I can totally relate. I feel like I could really use some prednisone right now too. Been off of it for a couple of weeks and I can really tell. :meh: How much are you taking now?
Parent - - By Bill P Date 2017-12-02 11:01 AM
Just 2 mg. It's not doing squat. Dosages this low have helped before,  but when tapered down from higher dosages. My dr wanted to try this first. We are considering adding some other medication too. Despite testing negative, she is concerned I have RA.
Parent - - By spiritbear [us] Date 2017-12-02 4:44 PM
RA. That’s a concern on my end too. I’m doing a nerve conduction test next week. I’m getting a referral to a hand surgeon for this “trigger thumb” and then whoever else the neurologist feels I need to see too. :meh: I just want some answers.
Parent - - By Bill P Date 2017-12-02 5:52 PM
That nerve conduction test is kinda freaky. Hope it gives you some answers. My hips, shoulders, wrists and fingers are so freakin stiff and painful.
Parent - - By spiritbear [us] Date 2017-12-02 7:15 PM
So, you’ve had a nerve test? How bad does it hurt? Did you get the results right then? The neurologist I saw is the one doing it.
Parent - By Bill P Date 2017-12-02 7:29 PM
Several years ago. Everyone said it was painful. I didn't find it painful at all, just freaky. If I remember right, I did get the results right away.
Parent - By Mickeyd Date 2017-12-02 11:35 AM
That’s too bad that you aren’t able to come off the prednisone, but I’m glad it’s there and it works. I hope it helps soon.

4.66 miles with Sarge. 11:55 average pace/157 average HR. Little higher on the HR than I’d like but running with him isn’t the most consistent. We had a few squirrel surges in there.

This whole week has been rough running-wise. Nothing has felt good, natural or anything better than labored.  Today was more of the same. I’m just plugging away waiting for it to pass. I’ve also been super tired and gotten extra sleep almost every day so my body is clearly fighting something. 6.2 miles.

GREAT job!!

I ended up not running again last night. Thought I’d try the conservative route for a change. : pbbt:  10.1 miles this morning. They were decidedly “ok” which is an improvement I’ll take.

Great job!  Is the streak to the new year?
Parent - - By flyguy (Stump Grinder) [us] Date 2017-12-04 6:39 AM
Christmas.  New Year. Valentines Day. Lent. We'll see where it goes  hahaha

I did streak once through a 100 miler. that was tough
Parent - By Mickeyd Date 2017-12-04 10:46 AM
I can't even imagine.  That's part of what keeps me from running a really long race, having to run the next day. :cry:
