Hope all you busy hosts and hostesses take time to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I'm headed out to the local thanksgiving day race. I was watching the weather channel and they said more people cross the finish line today than on any other day of the year.

They also said that the Buffalo Turkey Trot is one of the oldest in the country. This is year 122 of the run. I grew up there but did not know that.

Only 19° out there at the moment.

Have a great day.

Saw this on the site of the Buffalo race:

Known to be the oldest consecutively run footrace in the WORLD, the YMCA Turkey Trot is an 8K Thanksgiving Day tradition that attracts over 14,000 runners of all ages and abilities to the City of Buffalo each year.

That's amazing about Buffalo.  Would love to read "race reports" from 1900.

Got here more than an hour early and parking is getting full. Should be a lot more fun than most the local races around here where 50 people is a big number.

Just trying to stay warm until 9:00.

8:53, 8:42, 8:31, :50 = 26:57 (8:39 pace)

Felt good the whole way. I feel like I could go run some more.

Best 5k time this year.

Reese's Cups and Pop tarts did it for me.

That's about as to the point race report as I've seen here.  I need to remember Poptarts and Reese's for the next 5k.

I've raced a few times fueled by morning pop-tarts.  Good work, Dave!

Turkey is in oven and pavement has been pounded on a spectacular Thanksgiving morning.   I give thanks for my friends on here.  I am especially thankful for the inspiration, motivation, and encouragement from all of you.  I thought of many of you as I ran today, and really without you I would not be running today and probably using that cane.

Small Thanksgiving dinner of 4 of us.  We will take it to Aunt Shirley.

Keep an Attitude of Gratitude always in your heart.

We are waiting for Makayla's boyfriend to get here and we will eat.  Melissa spent the morning cooking our favorite foods.  Ryan drove in last night.  I hate that he has to leave this evening but he works tomorrow.  I am grateful to have my family around the table once again.

I ran 6 miles late morning in the sunshine.

Thankful for all of you on here.
