6.2 foggy miles. Enjoyable run.
Perfect time of year for it.
So did you have high humidity too?

It's 81% humidity right now and it's a lot less foggy then it was when I ran.
Still, humid and 32* is different than what it's like down by you.
65 and humid here
Yep, I rarely feel humidity at 32*

Taking a rest day from running. Plan to go to yoga tonight.
one hour of vinyasa yoga. Did crow pose for the first time!
I've mastered the headstand and love it but I can't do the crow.
2017-11-14 4:09 PM
nice! I have never been able to do crow. Maybe one day.
7 miles last night. It was perfect running weather
I was running along a really good clip (for me) until it got dark. Even though I have a good headlight I still find myself somewhat tentative about footing in the dark. That's the one thing snow actually helps with - more illumination via reflection.
Tonight will probably be another 7-ish miles. If I can get out of here early I will meet up with a running buddy, otherwise I am on my own.
Enjoy your run!!
look at you ms consistency! Has some of your mojo returned?

Spoke too soon on that one
Had a semi-run fail tonight. I accidently grabbed a granola bar with inulin for a snack today. Enough said
5 slow, gassy miles
(I like wool!)

Another 5 nondescript miles along the river at lunchtime, a little later than usual. Cloudy and chilly, about 42F.
Much better run today but wow, it was a drippy one. 88% humidity
I was so excited to be running this morning, I didn't mind the humidity, until I realized I was thirsty.

Too much humidity for Nov. 14!
yucky! that sounds gross and not okay for mid November.
Humid for November! Was it hot, too?
65 ... so not terrible. It's over 70 now. I think the high is 89 on Friday.
<- that's a "I'm hot and angry" face
A bit over 5 miles this morning.
We are having our company sponsored Thanksgiving lunch today and I'm on the committee so need to be there and help so no time for a lunch time run. I went to the riverfront park which was quite active this morning. There was a group of either army or police trainees and the University of South Carolina track and field team out for an easy workout. It was in the lower 40's and breezy so very pleasant. I got chicked right near the end and resisted the urge to pass her back on the small hill right at the end. Bumped into a couple of friends who were just getting ready to start as I finished up. Joyce was wearing her Peak to Creek marathon shirt which is a race I ran in 2010 when it was Ridge to Bridge.

I was lucky the the university girls were on their any back in while I was heading out otherwise I would have been passed by about 10 others. It wouldn't have bothered me so much except it was right at the end.

mmmm, thanksgiving lunch
what's on the menu?
It was a pretty standard menu: ham, turkey, dressing, gravy, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, green beans, cranberry jelly, and rolls. Dessert was a choice of pumpkin pie, apple cobbler or coconut cake.
There was plenty left over so I was able to make up to-go trays so I get a repeat for dinner tonight.
Mmmmmm Thanksgiving lunch! Nice that your company does that!
on getting chicked.

We have some sort of event every month. Most months it is a breakfast or lunch so it is a nice treat.
Hope the lunch was good!!
It was!! I've been fighting off the nap ever since, though.
Seriously. They should just excuse everyone after lunch.
5 miles......longest run since September 24th. It was a slog except for the 1.5 miles I ran with a neighborhood lady who I hadn't seen in a while. She pushed my sloggy pace for which I was grateful!
nice!! I bet that felt great.
OK, no complaining from me. I will get on the TM at 4:30 precisely, in honor of all of those who want to run but can't!
Hey, do you know of any 10 mile races in DFW area? A friend and I really don't want to do a half but are curious about some 10 milers or 15k...
I know the Plano Pacers have a 15K on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Here is a link for 15K's in DFW.....they all look like there are on my side of the Metroplex. I am not familiar with what might be "hidden" on the FW side.http://www.runningintheusa.com/Classic/MapList.aspx?State=TX&City=Dallas&Distance=15K
The Dallas Running Club has a 10 miler in the spring, but I don't know of any other ones. I LOVE 10 Mile races!! Great distance to push it but not die.
Thanks! I’ll look. We are leaving town for Turkey Day.
Ever done the Hot Chocolate? We discussed that one.
I have not done it, though have lots of friends who have and enjoyed it.
1 set (reduced - week 4) hip exercises + a one mile walk so far.
After 40s & drizzle all day yesterday it's upper 40s, bright & sunny with barely any wind today! Perfect walking weather
It took multiple tries between yesterday & this morning but I finally got one of the tires on the Forester to take the proper amount of air & the stupid low tire pressure indicator turned off!
Good thing you are retired or you would never have enough time to get the tire pressure correct!
2017-11-14 11:52 AM
In my defense, when I tried yesterday I hadn't been able to isolate the offending tire (my car's electronics just displays a symbol without ID'ing the specific tire) AND it was raining while I was at the gas station's "4 minutes for 4 quarters" air pump. The "plug in to a car power port" compressor my son had didn't work either. So, it was off to one of the Super Wawas (convenience store chain, the "Super" ones with gas pumps) to use their free, digital air pumps.
For the record, in the interest of efficiency, I included a stop at the ATM and a local BJ's while out getting air in the tire.

I have one tire that always give me the low pressure indicator even when it's OK. It must be a bad sensor, but I don't want spend money to replace the sensor!
Glad you got good walking weather!
hola friends. I need to jump on the treadmill at 4:30 on the dot, no messing around. I had my first prenatal appt this morning, that ended up starting late and going long, and I had to drive through rush hour traffic to get there, so I lost my morning running window. I'm hoping I don't have my mid afternoon first trimester exhaustion crash, like I have the past couple of days, because tomorrow is my all day class day with no running time on either end. I think I'll bargain with myself - I can start out by fast walking and if I feel up to it I'll bump up the speed to slow running, to get to 4 miles. The promise of trashy TV is always what gets me on the Running Machine of Extreme Boredom.
2017-11-14 1:06 PM
Trashy TV or trashy magazines work well for me with cross training, but I get too dizzy on the treadmill for either. Not that I'm on the treadmill much, anyway, though
Hope you get it done!!
During my first trimester with the first kid, I would drive 20 minutes home on my lunch, so I could take a nap. I had never been so tired in my life.
What is your trashy TV of choice?????
oh gosh, there are so many things to choose from. I'm a sucker for any show that was on the BBC. Currently I'm watching "The Great British Baking Show Masterclass" and some show about crazy fancy hotels of the world. I also love any Anthony Bourdain stuff. And I'm slowly working my way through "Gilmore Girls" - yes, I'm very behind on this. Currently on season 4.
2017-11-14 4:14 PM
30 minutes of track time. I hate getting started but I sure feel great when I'm done. Pretty easy workout; 2 laps hard, 1 lap easy, repeat repeat repeat. I can't seem to buy a sunny day around here so I'm going to make a pot of potato soup and counteract the dreariness that way.
3.5 treadmill miles felt better than monday so I gradually picked it up.
