Still figuring out my 30-day challenge: I thought it would be 10,000 steps a day but now as I realise how hard it will be to fit 10,000 steps into every day, I'm rethinking: maybe I should aim to be active every day, for at least 30 minutes, and aim for 10,000 steps on a certain number of days per week. Not sure. Maybe I'm committing to a 30-day challenge of spending 30 days thinking about what my 30 days should look like.
Anyway, at least I'm getting out there and moving. Yesterday I got to 7,626 steps, 5.9 km, which isn't bad, considering that I worked at home, sitting on my couch, and went to the symphony with 2.0 in the evening and so the only real activity I had was a half-hour run plus a bit of walking around the house.
Hit the gym this morning for strength training and stair intervals. I'm already at 4,535 steps for the day and it's just gone 9:00 am! Once I walk around my building a bit going to meetings and then walk home from work (drove here this morning for the sake of time), I'll no doubt hit 10,000.
ETA: Oh, and, my run yesterday: it actually felt good! My last few runs have felt as if my lungs have suddenly become two sizes too small, so I was happy to get out and actually feel kinda strong, and like I could breathe properly.
