:mutmad: I just spilled a brand new quart of green paint on my mom's very porous brick driveway.

So are you bummed about losing the paint or it hitting the porous driveway?

Mostly spilling paint on mom's new driveway but also having so much unwanted work.  I've been on vacation for more than a week and I haven't had much chance to enjoy it.

Two choices:
1) try to clean it off or
2) paint the rest of the driveway green.

3) Add a bunch of other colour splashes everywhere.

Or.... just turn the freakin' bricks over.  : pbbt:

I came to the conclusion that it was going to be impossible to remove all the paint. So we were thinking the bricks would just need to be replaced. Eventually, it occurred to my mom while counting the damaged ones that we didn't even need to use the few replacements we had. Just turn them over.

Only there's no beveling on the other side. : pbbt: We have a few replacements left from the construction and maybe enough to get the job done.

4) Shrug and leave it.   My approach

Needless to say but the air quality around here sucks. Feel bad for everyone that has been really affected by these fires.

I overheard a woman yesterday saying, “it’s terrible, I don’t know what I will do!” because her favorite organic winery burned.

I’m sure those that lost their homes and/or loved ones in the fire and those not knowing if they’re next feel terrible for those that will have to suffer the horrors of finding a new wine.

That's truly selfish.

FWIW some of the vineyards have survived even though the winery buildings burned. Vines are tough.

 Charles Shultz's home was destroyed by fire.
