First morning in recent memory that it wasn't foggy. The air felt clear and I had a good 3.65 mile run. The only trouble was that it was supposed to be a 4 mile run but my left calf went "twang" at 3.65. I walked the rest of the way back to my car. Calf doesn't feel too bad and tomorrow is a gym day, so maybe by Wednesday it will be ok to run.

wth? Good run, but what the heck with your calf?
Nothing much going on here. I have a hair appointment and the normal Monday doings. Wrote a letter to the HOA board about an issue that we have in the neighborhood. Gave my opinion, may not be what they wanted to hear but it is my opinion.
Good luck to Amy on her first day! She will be a happy camper when she receives her first paycheck.
See you later!
Thanks Marilyn. I hovered over my phone until 7am. Didn't hear from her so I expect it is all good! So far her list for her first paycheck include a toaster, a colander, a new computer and a different car.
it will be interesting to see which gets top priority.
but will you wear it on your head and dance?
Oh wait, I thought I was talking with Diego.....
I'm sure Diego would be willing to do that. But we don't want him anywhere near Amy.
11.03 miles this morning. 3 miles easy. 2x3 miles at HMP of 7:15 with 1 mile easy between intervals. Avg splits: 7:14, 7:14. 1 mile cool down.
Weekend was busy. running, kids sporting events, working on cars and the yard, parties etc.

Hi all. Today should be the last day of 90's with heat index near 100. I have plenty of indoor projects. The first will be my home version of my Bodysculpt class. Arms and Abs today.
My 70 yr old friend who ran the QC Marathon yesterday: his A goal was to go under 5 hours just intending to take it easy and enjoy. His B goal was 5:40 because of the heat. I checked the online results and his time was 6:49:sad: The last 5k was 70 minutes.
I'm not sure what to say when I see him. I am just relieved he finished. I heard they took 26 off the course via ambulance. This was to be his last marathon and I'm sure he's sad to end on such a slow note.
It was a good weekend. Started Saturday morning with some trail miles (14). Then grass cutting.
My Monday began with an 8 mile run.
Mike is back to 8 miles -- whew-- all is well in the world!

I was glancing at the local race calendar and saw a 5k coming up this weekend that I ran last year and it gave out one of my favorite shirts. I wear it all the time.
So I signed up.
And then I stood up to get a cup of coffee and winced when my calf yelled at me. Oops, maybe I shouldn't have signed up for that.
I figure I'll be better by tomorrow so I am not worried about Saturday (yet).
