any 0-5 folks waiting to hear from the BAA?
i got to register early thanks to my streaker status, but didn't get a confirmation of acceptance email for 2 weeks....
they're doing something differently this year
they have announced they won't be accepting all applicants, but most of the folks who have analyzed it say the cut-off should be lower than last year's
Not me as I am now officially SLOW again. All I care about is that Nagesh gets in after being screwed by 4 seconds off the cutoff the past two years.

Just waiting to hear so I know if I'm running in the spring, or if I can try to fast track bunion surgery this fall. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll make it through training in one piece, so not getting might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. If I do run it will be slow and painful, but I am OK with that. A good friend and I want to run together.
I did. I'm a 0-5 person (close to 5 though) waiting to hear if I got in...

I forgot! There's been a lot going on at home, work and it just slipped my mind. I did have 0-5

wow.. cut off is 3:23...
time to change the BQ standards again... will be shocked if they don't change them for 2020
Roughly 5,000 qualified entrants did not make it in.
About 20,000 of the 23,000 accepted runners qualified with a 5:00 or greater cushion.
I think you are right about the standards being lowered.
I made it in by 13 seconds.

good for you!
for 2016 i got in only because of my streaker status... i had a 2:12 cushion that year so would have missed by 16 seconds without my early entry
can't believe they had to turn away 5k
Glad I made it for my first ever Boston. 4:48 under. But I bet there will be a change to the standards coming soon. You pretty much have to train for 5 min under anyway now
never would have thought the cut off would be over 3 minutes...
my better half plans to attempt a BQ this year, i've already told her she needs to plan on -5:00
