32 weeks down - week 33 on deck.  Things are starting to pick up here.

I've been watching a lot of the world championships - pretty great stuff and a lot of surprises.  Glad to see some of my favorites did well - Jenny Simpson, Brittany Reese, Will Claye, Tori Bowie.

How did the week go for you?  Only 20 left in the year..

16  knew the miles would go down while we were traveling, but unfortunately my body also went down, as in crashed and burned, near Albuquerque. My left forearm is not broken, thankfully, but I landed on it very hard and can't do stuff like zip a jacket or unscrew a jar lid. It's getting better but :meh: will take some TLC.  Did get in 4 yesterday and will try again today. We're in a beautiful national monument in northern New Mexico. Rio Grande del Norte or Wild Rivers -- something like that.  I'm annoyed but keep reminding myself it could have been much worse.

Mickeyd - 69.1  cut back week.

This week will be below average as well.  It's the annual college migration.  : pbbt:  I've also got something going on with my foot that could probably use a break from 80-90 mile weeks.

cbj- 38.5. sorry about being mia. to catch up/update, shortly after coming back from the Celtic Traverse (it was AWESOME) at the end of June, I had some weird symptoms--could not run any distance without being winded, retained lots of water.. about a week after returning I went to a walk-in. my heart was in afib so they sent me to the ER. Bunch of tests came back normal. Echo-cardiogram pretty normal. Put on a blood thinner for afib so I wouldn't have a stroke and a diuretic to get rid of the 15 pounds of water I retained. Had a cardioversion a week ago--shocks your heart so you go back into normal rhythm. Finally felt like myself again last weekend and can run! YAY! All through this I tried to stay active walking and working out..

I have a follow up at the beginning of sept and hopefully can get off he blood thinner. Scary being on it because there is no drug to counter it if I got in a accident (could bleed to death)..

Not sure what the cause of the afib was. the doc cited some studies of endurance athletes who experience it (walls of the atrium gradually weaken due to the stress/use from all the activity) or it could have been triggered by a bunch of things with the trip--long travel, poor sleep, lots of exercise in some ward conditions etc.

So it's been weird and scary and confusing..but i think/hope i'm back

I am happy to read you are back on the road to normalcy. I've just started that journey, but my case isn't as serious as yours.

0.

I'm out for the foreseeable - sorry team  Sciatica reared its painful head and I'm out for the count, haven't even been to work all week which is the longest sick time I've taken in 24 years :shocker!: Lots of physio, acupuncture, massage, and enough medications to float a battleship...but I can only walk ~100ft before the pain gets too bad, and most of that walking is getting up every 3 hrs at night to pop more pills. Hopefully I get past the acute stage, aka the pills reach therapeutic levels, next week and I can maybe start swimming, elliptical, or walking on the TM (as my physio says - yes the summer is nice to walk outside but best not to get a mile away from home before needing to stop ) My half marathon will either switch to a 5k or just a girls weekend of hiking & drinking, and I'll continue to work with my physio to get this fixed for good instead of playing groundhog day with a cycle of injuries all related to the same base cause.

I'll be checking in on you all while I recover though. Go Team 1!
