I tried to keep the right date format today so I didn't mess anyone up.
I thought about heading the daily with "The 22st of July" as an alternative.
I went to the park for just a couple mile (2.68). The humidity gets to me too much. I think I may have to switch to gym workouts for a while and scrap my 20 miles a week goal. No sense meeting an arbitrary goal and feeling sick all day.
Yes stick to the gym -- too darn not to be outside.
how about the mill? Nothing wrong with that.
Do you guys remember Joyce? It's been eons since she's posted here and I can't remember her screen name either. Anyway, her youngest is getting married tomorrow
So congratulations to them! I can't wait to see photos.
And thanks for the update.
How's the back?
Back today feels at about 95%. Thursday it was about 60. It seems I get 2 days pretty good and one really bad. Which means tomorrow could be a bad day and I'm supposed to race. Well due to the back, I'm not "racing" I'm just doing all three sports on one day

Now my mind can rest. I couldn't place Joyce but I remember Scout.
No -- Scout must have been before I was a somewhat regular poster.
18.09 insanely wet and sticky miles
Insanely wet and sticky would be truth. It's nasty out there. Well done on the run.
Not sure. I'll go feel myself and get back to you.
Hope you are now relaxing and in a cool area!
Took a nap in cool bedroom
No. But will be code later tonight if I get my hands on Sam
That's IF, my legs are sore from running, so I might not be able to catch her
Code bed or sleeping bed?
We had bad weather last night. Storms all around, some tornado warnings and unbelievable lightning. I hoped that would push the heat and humidity out but we're going for over 100 again today. Just finished picking up another 5 gallon bucket of debris from the yard. Misha's been walked and I'll yoga later. This will be the first time I've done back to back yoga days. Should be ok though, yesterday was strength/core. today is balance/stretch.
There is a 12 hour music fest downtown at the bandshell today.
While not under water the grounds and the tents are pretty soggy.
And then there's the heat....can't imagine being out in 100+ with a warm cup of Budweiser. oh wait a minute - in another life I could
Oh I hate to hear about the storms. My friend up in the WI area was having her family for the weekend and storms would hinder the time on the lake.
Yoga -- you must be very limber!
ew ew ew. cold brew please
Work out done! And I too join you in the misery of hot, hot weather. But it is to be expected. Let's see if I can start thinking about my September trip to the Mt. Rushmore area and maybe that will cool me down.
Enjoy your Saturday!
nice work. I hope to see lots of pictures!
I got lost. My 25k turned into a 31.62K
It was a great race to start off with, fun woods were pleasant and they had aid stations!! Then I took a wrong turn at wait for it.....14.65 miles.
Then tried to find my way home for the rest. Had to ask someone for water....missed the cut off by 1:30! I mean and the real feel right now? yeah that would be 97*.
I'm taking off tomorrow.
Oh Karen that hurts! Dang, dang. So close.
Bet you are tired. Enjoy your day off.
Aww Jeez! Can you say ice bath? And then you better be lounging with your feet up while your family fans you with palm leaves and drop grapes into your mouth. Go the whole Cleopatra - have them wait on you hand and foot. and darn right you're taking tomorrow off!
I really shouldn't. I've got to keep on schedule. wed is wasted for travel. sigh.
Nice job on the run and not dying in the heat
all the cursing I did gave me power
Frustrating, but way to hang in there and get some hot bonus miles. I had a similar experience in a 50K. Very hot day, made a wrong turn with a mile to go. Enjoy the rest tomorrow!

I took the trails this morning for 14.09 miles. All in the shade except for one small stretch in the sun. That sun was hot!
I'm leaving for Asheville, NC for a PE conference. Driving the 6 hours. Coming home Wednesday. I might take my trail shoes and find a trail there.

I did a little research on Santa rosa. Found a trail out there and looked it up for reviews. Glad I did. such things as gang related crimes and people missing.
Santa Rosa where? Are you going there?
yes. my girlfriend is doing the ironman out there. I'm going to sherpa.
Enjoy Asheville and the conference!
