Last fall I retired by Nikes and Asics 2100. They each had 500 miles. I replaced them with Omni 8 and Pearl Izumi emotion. My left foot is neutral but the right pronates slightly. After a few days in these new shoes my right achilles tendon was quite sore. I tore the meniscus in my knee and haven't been running since. I've been walking in a pair of New Balance walking shoes. But always felt like I was walking on the right arch. Recently I switched to the Omni 8s and within a week the achilles was sore again. Spent a week walking in the old Nikes and then a week in the Asics and the tendon is fine. I'm ready to try running again. But which shoes to use is preying on my mind. What should I replace the Nikes and Asics with? My feet really like the Omni and Pearl Izumi but clearly my achilles tendon doesn't agree. Any suggestions?
