My achilles is hurting right at the top of it, where it connects to the calf. Any tips? I have a half next weekend and really don't want to bail. Just rest this week? Train lightly? Crosstrain on the bike/eliptical instead?
I'm new to longer runs and think I just went up too agressively in distance/speed.
Ironically - it hurts most when I'm sitting at the computer. I'm fine when I'm up and walking around. It did get sore, though, towards the end of my 10 miler this morning.
ARGH!! Just make it hold out till the end of the race - then I'll take a full month off, I swear!
