Am training for a half marathon and suffered a quad injury after a longer run. I sat out for a few days and tried to run again. I felt tight at first but then good while running--actually better during my run than after. My quad was super sore after that run--so much so that I sat out several more days. I tried to run again tonight. Now my leg hurts behind my knee. It's not a pain under my kneecap (which seems more common for runners), but rather on the back of my leg. I can't figure out a stretch to get to this part of my leg and had so much trouble that I had to stop running after a half mile. My leg doesn't hurt when I walk on it, bend it, or sit--just while running. Any idea what's up?
Popliteal tendonitis, maybe?
