so I attempted some gentle prenatal yoga - 20 min - yesterday afternoon and I almost fainted. So, yeah, guess that's out for now too

Ah well. In the grand scheme of things, it's all for the best. As runners I think we are conditioned to believe that we're strong and can handle anything, and that backing off when we don't feel well is being lazy or is looking for excuses. Hard to fight against that instinct. I needed the midwife to say definitively to me "no, you can't do this right now. Medical orders" for me not to feel guilty about backing off. I wish I could trust my own body a little more!
So...another rest day for me it is!
